Day 74: January 1

To some people, 2013 is the year of the big stuff. It may be the year they get drafted for a footy team. It may be the year they finally beat cancer. 2013 is the year that they finally come out to their parents. On a certain date this year, someone will finally get married, after wanting to to the deed for ages. Maybe it'll be the year that someone gets their dream job or helps someone realise theirs. It may be the year that a year 12 student exceeds everyone's expectations, including theirs, for their ATAR score. On the contrary, 2013 might be the (quote) "same shit, different year". In 2013, you will have the same friends, your routine will almost exactly the same. You'll live in 'the closet', you're still fighting to beat your cancer and maybe year 12 got the better of you. You missed out on your dream job and your boyfriend hasn't proposed. But, not to worry! When someone said 'life it short, don't waste it', I don't know what they were talking about. Life is the longest thing that can happen to anyone. So, if you've missed out on something, didn't get what you wanted or are afraid, there are more chances. Be strong, be brave, patience is a virtue, keep fighting, take matters in your own hand and live your life!
